IMSF & TRR274 participate in the Göttingen “Nacht des Wissens”

From 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday 21 June, the IMSF scientists Dr. Arianna Merlini and Annika Schmidke joined forces with Dr. Estibaliz Maudes Garcia und Alexander Busch from the Institute of Neuropathology to present their research in a fun way.
The main question to be answered was "Is the central nervous system (CNS) irreparable or can it recover?” Visitors learned that the system responds to damage in complex ways, from irreversible loss to regeneration. They could find out more about the cellular processes and critical checkpoints that influence recovery, new research strategies to promote healing and also the possibilities of regeneration in the CNS.
