In multiple sclerosis, the immune system’s cells attack the body’s own brain tissue and thereby cause permanent neurological deficits.

The Institute for Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research investigates how these auto-aggressive cells are able to access the brain and which processes regulate the resulting inflammation and the resulting damage.
